Lenovo Legion Y70 2026 Gets a Spec Reveal Before Launch

Lenovo launched its last Legion Y70 in August 2022, but now it’s officially confirmed the return of new Legion Y70 2026 with so many upgrades. The new Legion Y70 is officially confirmed to launch in China on 19 May. Last week, the company teased many key specs about the new 2026 model. Based on the details, Lenovo seems to be heavily focused on phone battery life and thermal management.

Display

The first thing that every user likes in this smartphone is its 6.8 inch 2K OLED display with 144Hz of refresh rate. Also the claimed peak of this phone display is 7000nits, which means you never felt low brightness issues even if you’re walking outside or at the beach. Lenovo uses Q10 panel in this device, which is claimed more power efficient then many other competitive devices panels. Lenovo added some better features in its panel like SGS eye protection & Full-DC dimming that low the screen blue lights and always protect your eyes. It also supports 360Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10+ and Dolby vision.

Performance & Cooling

The Lenovo Legion Y70 (2026) is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, not the elite version but performance should still be close to the last year flagship chipset.

The chipset paired with LPDDR5X Ultra(9600MBs) RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.

Lenovo mentioned a large Cooling vaper chamber with 10W thermal conductivity gel that makes this phone cool during heavy tasks or gaming. Also claimed a dedicated antenna setup for lower latency and stable connectivity during online gaming sessions. 

Cameras

The phone has a triple camera setup on the back, one is a 50MP Sony LYT-710 large camera sensor, second is 8MP ultra wide and third is a 2in1 sensor(Anti-overexposure & Anti-flicker). You can record videos in 8K at 30fps and in 4K at 30/60fps. On the front, it has a 32MP wide camera lens that can also record video in 1080p at 30fps.

Battery & Features

The Legion Y70 2026 will pack an 8000mAh big battery and a 90W fast charging support. Lenovo mentioned it can last up to 19.3 hours during video games. The device also has a bypass charging feature, which means if you play games while the phone is charging the device still remains cool and does not produce heat issues. 

Some other features include, IP66, IP68 & IP69 dust and water resistance ratings, improved Wifi antenna, 5G connectivity, Android 16, USB type C and dual e-SIM support. 

Colors & Price

Lenovo Legion Y70 (2026) will be available in 2 colors, which is carbon black and ice soul white. The price is expected to start from CNY 3,999(around $588 at the current exchange rate) for the 256GB/8GB storage variant. Chinese people can pre-order this device before its launch.
